About us
IsaBee Coffees is a German company Berlin based. We import raw coffee beans from our own plantation in Brazil, the Fazenda Paiol. We are the first intercontinental female family business coffee brand.
IsaBee Coffees imports not only green coffee to roasters, but also supplies roasted or ground beans to customers, shops and Cafés in Berlin and throughout Germany.
In Brazil, the Fazenda Paiol is run by the sisters Elisabeth A. F. Santos and Raquel A. F. In Berlin, the CEO is Isabela Santos. (Foto)
Fazenda Paiol
The Fazenda Paiol has a tradition of growing arabica beans at Serra das Abelhas (the 'mountains of bees') in the south of Minas Gerais. M.G. is a Brazilian state, within hills and valleys, it is a gifted growing area for coffee. Half of the Brazilian coffee production is harvested here.
We are an intercontinental family business and we continue to develop what our ancestors have developed without any institutional support. Everything you see here is the result of our commitment to exceptional coffee and - as a basis for this - the protection of the fauna, flora and water sources of the region. You can find us at an average altitude of 1000m, in the municipality of Três Corações ('Three Hearts', where the famous soccer player Pelé was born)), 300 kilometers away from the three main centers of Brazil: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte.
Fazenda Paiol is run in Brazil by the sisters Elisabeth Andrade and Raquel Andrade. In Germany, Isabela Santos, daughter of Elisabeth Andrade, takes care of imports and sales from Berlin. We bring great coffee from our own farm directly to Germany’s cup in only 5 steps, without any intermediary : 1-Fazenda Paiol; 2-Santos Port; 3-Hamburg Port; 4-Berlin; 5-Cup! Enjoy the real Brazilian coffee taste!
The „Bee Girls“
The "bee girls" have had absolute control over the fertile highland area of the mountains with soft contours, dry weather in winter and rainy in summer, which is particularly suitable for the production of the best Arabica coffee in Brazil.
The Fazenda Paiol, where IsaBee Coffees comes from, has a feminine DNA. Ana Theodora Rezende Naves, a determined matriarch, started her first coffee plantation in imperial Brazil in the Serra das Abelhas, Três Corações, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This region is not only the most important region for coffee production in Brazil, it is also the birthplace of Pelé, one of the greatest football players of the century.
I, Isabela Santos, am a descendant of Ana Theodora. Our current property is run in the south of the state of Minas Gerais by my mother Elisabeth and my aunt Raquel. One is a former journalist and the other a biologist, both are coffee farmers with all their hearts. I was born in Belo Horizonte and graduated from UFMG, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, with a bachelor's and master's degree in lyrical singing. I still remember the holidays at Fazenda Paiol, where, as a little girl, I had the pleasure of singing my first songs on walks through the flowering coffee plantation.
I present IsaBee Coffees, the real, natural and fine Arabica coffee from Serra das Abelhas to Berlin, the city I've been living in since 2010. IsaBee Coffees is certified coffee (certifica Minas), sustainable, carbon neutral, devoted work from my mother Beth and my aunt Raquel, straight from our fazenda into your cup.
